First, Joe was able to start his new chemo treatment this week, which consists of an oral/at-home chemotherapy two week on/two week off regimen.  This chemo specifically only requires him to visit the oncologist either once a week or once every other week.  This is huge for Joe, as he was used to multiple weekly office visits and lengthy infusion treatments.  The side effects are similar to other chemo treatments, the main being fatigue.  Joe is at home and comfortable and resting as much as possible.
