A message from Joe's wife, Andrea. 

As most know, Joe has been so bravely fighting metastatic colon cancer for the last 2 ½ years.  He has been so strong, stronger than ever imagined!  He has endured countless chemotherapy treatments, surgeries, and hospital stays.  Our family and friends have been nothing short of amazing, supportive, and flexible.  More than they truly could ever ask for and thank you for that!  It has made this often overwhelming journey so much more manageable.

Unfortunately, Joe’s health is declining.  The chemotherapy treatments he was doing are no longer working.  While his oncologist remains an eternal optimist, at this point we are letting Joe attempt one more type of chemo treatment, which will not cure him and will likely make him sicker and weaker.  Joe being the strong and stubborn man he is wants to give this his last attempt at treatment.  If you are the praying type, please keep him in your prayers.

I will continue to keep you all updated as things progress.  Please feel free to share with others as you would like and as needed.
