In Support of Sharon Bateman & Family

Welcome to our Support Registry!

Sharon has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer. The past month has been overwhelming with tests, scans, and appointments. As the family navigates this unexpected diagnosis, I have created this registry to provide a space where their loved ones can receive updates and offer support that best meet their needs.

At this time, Sharon is at home, recovering from surgery on her femur. She also just completed 10 rounds radiation on her skull. She will now be going through more radiation, chemo, appointments, and home health services. Sharon and the family have felt so much love from everyone that has asked to visit. However, her medical team has encouraged limited visitors to minimize the risk of infection as she will be immunocompromised during treatment. In the meantime, this registry will be the best way to stay up to date on the most recent information and offer support! The family has also felt so loved and supported by those that have reached out with calls and texts. Briana and Sharon have tried to respond to everyone, but it has been hard to find time to give everyone updates. I wanted to ask that everyone utilize this space to stay updated and share their well wishes and words of support so that the family can look at them whenever they need some encouragement.  They greatly appreciate having such a strong community behind them! The goal of this support registry is to streamline any communication and support offered to the family.

For those who would like to help the family, the best ways to do so are:

  1. At this time, the best way to support the family is meal assistance. If you would like to support the family in this way, you can click “Give” at the top right of the screen or click “Send a Meal” to provide funds towards their next meal. With their busy schedule, as Sharon continues treatment, and her children navigate work and traveling, this has been one of the biggest challenges. In lieu of delivering meals, sending a donation towards a meal will be best in an effort to minimize the risk of infection as Sharon continues chemo. When they are able to accept visitors, this may change, but for now this will be the best way to support them as they go to and from treatments.
  2. Below, click on “Get Updates” to sign up to receive notifications when updates are posted.
  3. Click “Share” to spread the word to family and friends.
  4. Stay tuned for potential “Needs” that may be added as they arise.

Thank you so much!
