Schlemmer Family
$16,000 I am blown away!!
My heart is bursting with gratitude with each donation that comes in. Your support and love of this family for whom most of you have never met, but have fallen in love with online, is overwhelming in the best way.
I LOVE YOU.
THANK YOU.
Please keep sharing, keep talking about your love for Melissa and Christopher.
I'm sure that anyone out there who is a caregiver to a disabled child has thought about this, but for those of you that aren't in that position I'd like to explain more of the dire need to continue sharing the Schlemmer family's support registry.
Each state has a medicaid waiver program. The waiver program that Christopher was on allowed Melissa to be what's called a paid caregiver. That income stopped immediately upon his death. The Schlemmer's are losing a large portion of their monthly income.
Now is absolutely not the time for Melissa to be worried about finding a job.
We, as their community, have the opportunity to relive that burden for the foreseeable future.
PLEASE KEEP SHARING.
The impact will reach far beyond helping cover Christopher's funeral expenses.
I have been able to FaceTime with Melissa multiple times a day (She's in Minnesota, I'm in Utah. Long distance besties) and each time she expresses how overwhelmed they are by your love and support. They truly love you!
Let's continue to knock their socks off.
Go team Christopher!
