Fever is down & feeling better than yesterday
Brett Burford
Yesterday they started Brett on IV antibiotics to treat a possible infection. His fever kept creeping back in, so out of precaution they started antibiotics even though they weren't able to confirm whether there was a true infection or not.
The ultrasound they did on his legs yesterday didn't show any signs of additional clots, so that's great!
I spent the night with the kids and dropped them off at daycare this morning. It was really good to spend time with them. Ezra kept asking about his daddy 💔 luckily he moves on quickly though whenever he asks and he's loved being able to spend time with grandparents. Gwinnie is her cute little easy going self. I had still been nursing, but the last two weeks kind of forced me to wean. It's bittersweet for me, but she's been doing fine with it.
Biggest praise of the day: When I got to the hospital this morning, Brett was up walking around by himself with no walker 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
The doctor said as long as we have an uneventful day today, he can probably go home tomorrow 🙏🏻
It seems like each day there's been something that happens, so our prayer today is for a quiet, uneventful day.
As we start to think through what it'll look like to go home, we'd also like prayer for peace and a solid emergency plan we are both confident in should anything happen at home. We live an hour away from the hospital, and neither of us want Brett taking any emergency helicopter rides ever again 😬
Love you all, and here's to a great, quiet Wednesday 🤍🙌🏻🕊️
