Hey friends, 

We started the second big round of chemo last night! Originally, he was scheduled to come in to start on Wednesday but his counts were looking great and we collectively agreed to go ahead and get started instead of going home for a day and all the risks associated with that.

We feel more confident going into this round knowing what to expect and what to advocate for. We've been prepared that this round will be similar to the last, if not worse. Please be praying for protection from mucositis and neuropathy.

We kicked off this round with "red man" chemo- where in order to tolerate it, he has to be on a steady stream on benadryl. He gets a break today and then gets a full cocktail tomorrow along with going under for his chemo via spinal tap, another little break, repeat the whole thing and then recover to conclude this round... or something like that.

We have his services in place- tutor, PT, OT, therapy, music... all the things! He has perked back up today, he has a bed full of legos and pokemon cards and is mooning the nurses again. 

He qualified for "Make-A-Wish" and I thought you guys would enjoy his creative wishes that he makes me act our charades style for the nurses~
• Go to Jupiter
• Control the lights of the eiffel tower 
• Helicopter over active volcanos in Hawaii 
• Go dog sledding in Alaska

Thank you for being our village and being just as supportive on day 40 as you were on day 1. We couldn't do this without you and we appreciate you so much!!
