Over the last few days Meredith and the girls have been reunited with Toby’s parents and siblings as well as Meredith’s parents and brother. This has been a time of mourning as well as a sweet time of remembrance in honor of a life well lived.

Today Toby was brought back to Dover Air Force Base where a brief ceremony for the Dignified Transfer occurred. Meredith and the rest of The Lewis family were in attendance. The girls did not attend.

Commandant of the Marine Corps General Eric M. Smith, Deputy Commandant For Aviation Lieutenant General Michael S. Cederholm, and Deputy Chief of Chaplains Rear Admiral Carey Cash were in attendance as a sign of respect and the honor our country has for all three crew members lost.

Meredith and the girls are now on their way to Colorado to be with Toby’s parents. Jamie Bunce will be staying in Denver to escort Toby back to Colorado.

Funeral plans and logistics are ongoing but we will have more information once they are settled. Thank you for your continued prayer for and support of The Lewis Family.
