Oakley Werley’s Miracle Heart
What a journey this has been. So many emotions… and to be completely honest there are so many fears as well. Living in a world of so many unknowns… our life feels like it is on pause. As strong as we “try” to be we are human.
Braden is on 24/7 full time dad mode with Kash and trying to still keep up with work and I have taken a leave of absence from work to be here in the hospital with Oakley. There is no where else I’d rather be right now. I need Oakley some days way more than she needs me. That’s the honest truth. The joy and love she gives gets me through. She is so brave and inspiring. Everything I ever wanted in a daughter and so much more
So one day at a time…we continue to wait for Oakley’s perfect heart.
Praise God Kash is allowed to visit on the weekends! He brings us so much laughter and pure joy. He is truly one of Oakleys biggest fans. I am so grateful for their love.
Oakley is still going into her abnormal heart rhythms so meds are once again being adjusted to try and help with this. She is gaining weight however, her lab work isn’t quite where they want it from an overall nutrition stand point. She had her THIRD PICC line placed today because now two of them have cracked (why, we have no idea).
Best part of all of this… Oakley is happy. What more could I ask for than that?
God, I know You will hold us through this storm.
Please continue to pray for Oakleys future donor. That they are also happy and so loved. That their family is enjoying each and every day together. Prayers that we also feel the presence of Gods peace and love so that we can also enjoy all the little moments even in the some of the hardest circumstances. Prayers for Oakley’s health, her overall nutrition, and that she stays in normal sinus rhythm. Thank you for all your love ❤️ life is so fragile and we are never alone
