Miya has continued the chemo treatments without complications. The only challenge that's presented itself, is hearing loss. Last week the Audiologist shared that she has some cochlear damage, that they hope will be restored after the completion of a specific type of chemo - she receives 3 different types. The Sisplatin (?) can affect the cells in the ear. But, we press on.  Miya has written her first book! She said that she wanted her own foundation to help support other children facing a cancer journey. My mother is a graphic artist. She is completing the illustrations.  She will self publish her book. She wants to give them out in hospitals and cancer treatments centers. We are amazed and encouraged by how strong Miya is!
