The past 2 days feel like a month, but Ethan’s recovery is heading in the right direction and they may move him to the step down unit tomorrow. 

He got the chest tubes out late this afternoon which was painful and hard for mommy & daddy to watch, but the nurses were great. They played one of Ethan’s favorite songs, Can’t Stop the Feeling and danced and distracted him while taking the chest tubes out. He should have less pain now. 

The OT came and got him up and he sat in the chair for a bit (of course while watching Bluey and Spidey) and they couldn’t believe his surgery was just yesterday with his progress. It’s still hard for him and painful with his incision, but he’s such a warrior! He also ate some food tonight which he was happy about! 

Daddy is staying at the hospital tonight and hoping for an uneventful night and more sleep for Bubba!
