We got to see Ethan around 3:00 today and thankfully they had already taken the breathing tube out. In true Ethan fashion, the first thing he said to us was “I’m so thirsty and they won’t give me water.” His recovery seems to be going well so far and he’s sleeping on and off in between Bluey episodes. He just wants food and drinks and can’t have much tonight. 

The surgeon just came in a few minutes ago and is very pleased with his progress so far. He’s hopeful they can take out the chest tubes tomorrow which would be great, but will depend on the X-rays tomorrow morning.  

Jaron and I are relieved and doing ok and just tired! 

We appreciate all the calls and texts today! Our people are the best!
