Well, we survived another week of the unknown, which some have shared is the hardest part.  We continue to lean on our faith in God, our love for each other and the support of our family and friends as we navigate this new journey together.

Last Friday 9/6 I had my PET scan and this week on 9/10 I had two procedures, a paracentesis to remove the fluid from my abdomen and a biopsy of the mass on my abdominal lining.

Both procedures went smoothly and they drained 3.5 liters of fluid from my abdomen, Matt and I were in shock watching the container fill up.

Next up is our appointment with Dr. Yap to review all of the results.  We hope to have an official diagnosis (type, stage, etc...) as well as her recommendations for treatment so we can get this show on the road.

We are going to need time to process what we learn on Friday and just ask for time as we will share an update here when we are ready.
