Thank you for all of the prayers, texts, meals, flowers and of course Miller Lites 😉. Our incredible support system continues to show up for our family week after week and it is so appreciated.
I’m hopped up on my new pain meds right now so please excuse anything that doesn’t make sense in this post, they have me on the good stuff.
After a tough first round I was truly dreading this week but I am happy to report that the adjustments they made to my chemo (reduced taxol by 23% and reduced carboplatin by 17%) and the new pain medication, I am doing great.
I slept for the first 36 hours, like that hard to physically keep your eyes open sleep. Today I am more alert and just a little dizzy when I stand up or if it’s too bright. I can still tell there is pain in my stomach and bone pain in my legs but the medicine is numbing it all. Truly an answer to prayers and I am so thankful.
The icing on top is that I get to spend some quality time with two of my closest friends who are in town for different reasons all the way from Idaho and Oregon. I was nervous I would not be up for company but I feel like I am turning the corner today which is a full day earlier than the last round.
I just wanted to share this update with you all as I know I have a powerful network of prayer warriors out there. I am sending each of you my love and gratitude.
