Landry is still in the hospital and it looks like Tuesday will be our earliest chance of going home.

Right now it doesn’t look like seizures are the culprit for her change in behavior, which is good news, but also doesn’t help us know what is the cause yet. 

Tomorrow at 11:00, she’s scheduled for a brain MRI and spinal tap, both under general anesthesia. Originally, the earliest MRI we were able to get was for Wednesday so I’m really thankful they fit us in on Monday. I feel better knowing the spinal tap will be done while she’s completely asleep, but I still wish we didn’t have to put her through it at all.

Tomorrow (9/16), you could pray for safe procedures, an easy wake-up from anesthesia, and manageable discomfort/pain for Landry after the spinal tap. Answers from all this would also be a wonderful thing 😂

We’ve started to see more of Landry’s personality last night and today. She’s been more alert and even has taken some steps for us, which is encouraging. Thankfully, she’s also tolerating her feeds so IV access hasn’t been necessary since her initial one came out yesterday. 

I did something today that I’ve never done during all these hospital stays; I left the hospital while Pete was here and Landry was comfortable to get a pedicure and wander around Target. Considering I’ve never left hospital grounds in five years, that was a pretty big step and, miraculously, nothing catastrophic happened while I stepped out. 😂

Thank you for continuing to pray for us and for Landry especially. I’ll do my best to update if and when we know more about our girl.
