We are home from 2 surgeries and 8 days in the hospital. 1st surgery was scheduled replacement of Mariana's pain pump. 2nd surgery was due to an accident. We got home from surgery #1 and as we were exiting the van, the chair got caught on the ramp and pitched forward. Mariana tumbled out of the chair. I caught her but not before her leg broke. Hence, surgery #2. We followed that up with a UTI that went into sepsis. Thus, the lengthy stay on a powerful IV antibiotic. We were caught in a Murphy Loop (a corollary to Murphy's Law).

Now that we are home, we are trying to get back into our routine.
