Hello friends, family, and support partners! Just an update for you guys who aren't on my Facebook page but still follow along with us.

As I said previously, Paisley was excited to go back to school and she was able to go for 3 1/2 days of school last week! She had a field trip on Monday May 13, 2024 to the movie theater and we all knew it was a high probability of her not making it through the movie. But she wanted to go so we went. Unfortunately after about an hour, a headache forced us to go home and get some rest. On the morning of Tuesday May 14, Paisley complained of a sore throat and couldn't get her pain medicine down. She didn't go to school and a Doctor appointment was made. I assumed it was maybe allergies or sinus drainage due to the weather and us spending all the time we can outside in the sunshine. β˜€οΈ

I went back to work for the first time on Tuesday May 14th and was so excited to see all my kiddos at school! πŸ₯° But on my way home Bradley texted me that Paisley was having a hard day and crying with a headache, he just didn't want me to have to leave work early. I got home and took her to the Dr where she tested positive for strep immediately! πŸ₯΄ Later that night she spiked a fever of 101.8 and vomiting started. Her daddy also spiked a fever of 102.6 and became very sick with body aches and nausea very quickly. He went to the Dr today as also tested positive for strep!

So please pray the boys don't get it and I stay healthy enough to continue caring for everyone!

As far as appointments go, Paisley sees a new eye doctor Friday May 17th that is familiar with what we have going on. She has another MRI scheduled for May 21st but this one is a little different than before in the since that the oncologist has requested specific views as well as an MRI of her neck to look at her brain stem and spinal cord. Then Paisley will have an appointment on May 28th for a Transthoracic Echocardiogram AND THEN we will meet with the oncologist, Dr Gass, to discuss all of the results and (hopefully) the rest of the pathology report and (hopefully) discuss our finalized treatment options/plan and get that ball rolling!

So, in saying all that... we are currently battling strep and praying the fever stays away because that's the worst thing for her right now, she's trying her best to go to school, we have appointments scheduled that are very important parts of getting treatment started, and we just ask for continued prayers of guidance for Bradley and myself, as well as the whole team of doctors and specialists!

I do want to thank those of you who continue to send cards and gifts for Paisley. The noise reducing headphones are definitely being put to good use, the headbands are helpful to boost her confidence when she goes to school, she loves getting the mail so her cards are definitely putting a smile on her face, and for those that have sent food.. THANK YOU! for taking that task off my to do list and I've gained a few new recipes to make! ☺️

The school PTO has done a hat day donation in honor of Paisley so we appreciate that and any support from that! To the lovely ladies who had the school spirit rock painted for Paisley.. that smile and reaction brought me to tears! Thank you for that! The benefit pageant is scheduled for June 22nd at Thrive Church in Morganton so I am so excited for that. (Please email me if you want or need info on that. sadieteague95@gmail.com) A t-shirt is in the works as well as bracelets to show your love and support. πŸ’•

Thank you all again for following along and praying for our baby girl! Until the next one...

May God bless you all. 😊
