Six years ago, I moved back to my hometown to help my 36-year-old daughter who has serious mental health issues. I had no idea how bad her condition was. Over time, I used all my money to provide a stable and safe home for her.

It took two years to find her. She was in terrible shape and using drugs, almost unrecognizable. She had lost hope and didn't want a better life. I brought her home, unaware of how serious her mental and drug problems were.

Now, after six years, I spent everything I had to keep a roof over our heads. I need help paying my power and water bills by Friday, or our utilities will be cut off, and we could lose our housing voucher.
