Having a few good days...
Jason Henkel and Family
Just saying thank you is not enough, I cannot even express into words the appreciation to all of you for your outpouring of love. All of your kind words, texts, prayers and support of our family during this time is truly something that the kids and I will never forget. You all have wrapped your arms around us. It has made the last few days much more bearable knowing that we have this astounding support all around us.
Please know I try to sit down and look at everything from everyone, if I don't respond right away to a text please know that I will try to get to it. It can be a little overhelming, and things were coming in so quickly it has been hard to keep up. Blair is still playing softball this week and I am still coaching. We are trying to keep things as normal as possible for the kids.
As far as Jason is doing, he has some good days and some bad days. Last week around the 4th he was seeing some delusions, and was pretty out of it. Since then, we have figured out his meds a little better and he has not had a seizure or delusions in a week now. And because of that he has had some really good days. We are unable to leave him alone at all, so Glen and I seem to be taking turns a bit if I need to be somewhere.
We had quite a bit of family in town over the weekend and he was able to visit with them. He is sleeping most of the day and is in bed for the most part. His best times of the day are between about 12:30 to 2:30ish and 6:00 to 7:30ish, but he does seem to do better with shorter visits. He is still eating great, and is just a snarky and still has his quick wit and sense of humor.
I know many of you have voluteered to help around the house as of right now if I come up with something I will probably just try to reach out to you directly.
Again, thank you, thank you, thank you! We really do have the best village there is!
