The first big thing: my baby shower
Carly, Ilan and Evie Reisman
Today wasn't the typical baby shower we had imagined. Instead of gathering with friends and loved ones, we spent the day with our family and Aunt Lou Lou, taking some special photos together – even our dogs joined in.
It felt odd to be filled with both sadness for the loss of our sweet Benji and gratitude for the love of our family. Despite the absence of a traditional celebration, we found comfort in being together and reminiscing about the happy times we shared with Benji.
Though the day didn't go as planned, it served as a reminder of the importance of family and the resilience of love, even in the face of heartache. Today, we honor Benji's memory while embracing the support of those closest to us. Instead of gathering with friends and loved ones, we spent the day with our family.
Thank you to everyone following us on this bumpy journey filled with nightmares and beautiful dreams. So confusing and hard and amazing and so many other emotions.
